Since the Leigh Ladies Darts and Dominoes League was formed 20 years ago, the group has raised more than £10,000 for local charities: Christie Hospital Foundation Trust, Macmillan Nurses, Wigan and Leigh Hospice, and Leigh Infirmary.

Members Marlene Campbell and Sylvia Smith recently presented the latest donation of £580 to Bernard Addi, Christie Trust member and retired local licensee, at the Leigh Bowling Club.
